Clearing Your Personal Orbit

So, it has been awhile since I wrote a proper blog post and for that I apologise, but in my defence I did complete and release The Forty Servants so I wasn’t just sitting around twiddling my thumbs or just hanging out in Facebook, as much as appearances might suggest otherwise. For those interested in the Magick Primer series, the next part is about 75% written and it is on the topic of Servitors. Look out for that in the next week or so. But onward to this blog post. CLEARING YOUR PERSONAL ORBIT Over the last year, as those of Read More …

THEM Hypersigil – Part 4

PART ONE – PART TWO – PART THREE – PART FOUR – GRAPHIC NOVEL POST-SCRIPT This part opens with Roman wanting to leave the City completely and we return to the scene which opened the story. Here we see “The Idea” has fully grown and starts to call out to Roman. THEM have become like tar and oil as Roman has warped the originally thoughts and memories out of all proportion. These beliefs tower over him and start to engulf him. This is me, trying my very utmost to describe the sensation around when your thoughts, feelings and emotions totally destroy you. To me, it feels Read More …

THEM Hypersigil – Part 3

PART ONE – PART TWO – PART THREE – PART FOUR – GRAPHIC NOVEL POST-SCRIPT THEM as HYPERSIGIL Let’s continue with the description of my Hypersigil with the next section, which was originally Issue Three. This will be a shorter post as this section has less going on Magicaly than the others. Panicked and upset by the appearance of THEM, Roman reacts by running away. I wanted THEM to become a bit Zombie like at this point, less human and almost like a loop recording but still quite imposing, bigger than life and unshakable. I wanted THEM to start to feel sticky and slimey as the Read More …

THEM Hypersigil – Part 2

PART ONE – PART TWO – PART THREE – PART FOUR – GRAPHIC NOVEL POST-SCRIPT Let’s continue our look at how I made a Hypersigil Magickal working with my graphic novel THEM. So, last time, we got up as far as the car accident and the blossoming flower. The next scene (which was originally the opening of Issue Two) starts with Roman in Astral space with spooky stuff happening to him until he appears to walk back through the door to “reality”. In this reality, we see that the Magick Idea Flower has appeared in the real world, sitting in the window of what we discover is Read More …

THEM Hypersigil – Part 1

PART ONE – PART TWO – PART THREE – PART FOUR – GRAPHIC NOVEL POST-SCRIPT WHAT IS A HYPERSIGIL? To know what a Hypersigil is, you must start by knowing what a Sigil is. Gordon from RuneSoup is my go to guy on Sigils so I am going to point you in that direction first. Google tells us that a  “HyperSigil is a dynamic miniature model of the magician’s universe, a hologram, microcosm or “voodoo doll” which can be manipulated in real time to produce changes in the macrocosmic environment of “real” life”. A Hypersigil can for example be placed in art, an event or Read More …

MAGICK EXPERIMENTS: Mirror Gazing

Go grab a mirror, I am sure you have one somewhere in the house. If you can, or have the desire to make one, try to use a black mirror. While Black mirrors are not necessary, using one will make you feel extra magicky and anything that will help you get into “the zone” is a good thing. Next get a nice big candle and put it in front of it. If you can get a black one, even better. Candles are pretty useless in bright light, so try to make the room you are in as dark as possible. EXPERIMENTS: Evoking Mercury

At the Crossroads I recently read Frater U.D’s book Money Magic which you can download over on the Internet Archive page. Not sure if it’s posted legally or not, but you can decide by looking HERE. I don’t know a lot about Frater U.D other than he is German and his book on Sigil Magic is widely recommended as the book on the subject. Personally, I haven’t read his Sigil book, I got most of my Sigil Magic from Gordon over on Runesoup, but having read UD’s Money Magic book I might have a read of his other stuff. I really Read More …
