WEIGHT LOSS FOR THE SOUL

So, here is the latest update in the Weight Loss for the Soul series.  I had my latest weigh in and I have put on weight. I have put on 7 pound or half a stone, whatever way you want to call it, which brings me up to 15 Stone 3 Pound, or 213 pound, which, in good news, means I still have lost is 41 pounds in total. This is actually a lot better than I expected. I had myself prepared for a much worse weigh in. You see I haven’t really been doing too good on the diet front the last while. I went on Holidays, and I used the run up to my Fortieth birthday as excuse to eat and drink pretty much anything I wanted to. Weigh gain was to be expected.

PHYSICAL

I still kept to my running managing to make it once again to 5K and even managed to move myself from the treadmill to the great outdoors. Moving to the out doors has slowed my time down a bit, but that is to be expected. It has however increase the enjoyment and massively lowered the boredom of running. I also found that the perfect thing to listen to is upbeat music that I don’t know. If I know the song I start trying to gauge time by it, which is no good as it just makes me hyper aware of what I am doing. Listening to music I don’t know allows me to switch off a bit and get lost in the activity. This is the Spotify playlist I am currently using. I am also currently using the Runkeeper to track my exercise, My Fittness Pal to track calories, and Garmin Connect to connect to my new Garmin vívosmart HR.

DIET

There is no point is saying anything else or making excuses – I pretty much ate all the food and drank all the drink. Simple as that. Left to my own devices and not tracking what I pit in my mouth just leads me to consuming too many calories. Best just to move right along.

MAGICK

Again, I did very little Magick in the last while and none at all to do with my weight or health goals. I talked about this in a recent blog post which you can read HERE.

SO WHAT’S NEXT?

First let’s start with a video. This first of hopefully many Vlogs will explain what the next month or so will look like for me:

But basically:

  • Run every day with the overall goal of doing 5K a day in under 30 minutes.
  • Yoga everyday for 30 minutes.
  • Meditation everyday for 20 minutes.
  • 3x weight Lifting sessions a week.
  • 2 Juice only days a week – aiming for 600 to 700 Calaroies. These will count as Fast days, kinda.
  • 1 totally Vegan day. This will happen on a Friday, as Vegan Friday sounds catchy.
  • Other than juice days I will have 1300 Calories per day plus whatever Calories I gain from exercise.

And why 28 days? Well that leads nicely up to a night away that myself and my wife have planned. No other strange or interesting reason. So, I’ll update you all then on how this works out. In the meantime, keep an eye out for the VLOGS, if that’s your thing.
